On Steve Jobs

With the passing of Steve Jobs – there has been almost an endless stream of great commentary about his life and the impact he had on business and culture and the seismic shifts that have occurred because of Apple’s inventions.  Mr. Jobs was a game changer.  To say iTunes and iPods changed the music industry would be a great understatement.  The original Macintosh personal computers Apple developed in the early 80’s not only changed the trajectory of the PC business but put the wheels in motion for computing products that that cater to normal everyday individuals not just tech nerds.  The simplicity of apple products allow 2 year olds and 90 year olds to pick up an iPod, iPhone, iPad… and intuitively figure it out, with little or no instruction.  The list goes on and on… and simple Google search reveals hundreds of quality stories about Steve Jobs. I’ve highlighted a few of my favorite Steve Jobs quotes and embedded the famous 2005 Stanford commencement address, which like the products Steve Jobs created, brilliant in it’s stripped down simplicity!
